Meeting/Event Information

The Oklahoma City Chapter of the OSCPA provides quality continuing education courses and networking opportunities in a variety of Oklahoma City locations and live streaming online.

We meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month except for June and December.

All meetings are held in person and streamed live online. In-person meetings include lunch and networking before the presentation begins. One hour of CPE credit is presented at each luncheon, partial or nano credits are not offered during one hour luncheons.

All-day seminars are held in September and November. Two hours of Ethics are offered in one of the Fall CPE seminars.

Prepaid Membership includes all meeting fees. Pre-registration is required for each session you choose to attend for CPE credit tracking and so we know whether to expect you in person or online.

Please join us for our Annual Member Meeting and this month's 3rd Thursday CPE featuring Tommy Stephens!

Presentation Objectives:

As a result of participating in this activity, learners will be able to:

Create formulas that incorporate new Excel functions, including XLOOKUP and LAMBDA
Generate PivotTables quickly and easily
Utilize Power Query to link external data to Excel and apply transformations to the linked data
Apply formatting to Excel spreadsheets quickly and efficiently
Identify the benefits associated with Excel's Tables feature and incorporate Tables into your daily routines

Presenter: Tommy Stephens, CPA, CITP, CGMA - K2 Enterprises

Tommy Stephens received a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree (Major in Accounting) from Auburn University in 1985. In 1992, he earned a Master of Science degree (Major in Finance) from Georgia State University in Atlanta. Presently, Tommy is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Information Technology Professional, and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.

During his professional career, Tommy has gained valuable experience in a variety of positions, including:

• Working as an auditor and technology consultant for an Atlanta-based public accounting firm;
• Leading an Internal Audit staff and managing a Cost Accounting team for a Fortune 500 company;
• Serving as a Chief Financial Officer for an international engineering organization; and
• Founding and managing his public accounting firm that provides accounting, tax, and consulting services to individuals and a variety of small and emerging businesses.

In 1995, Tommy began authoring and presenting continuing professional education courses to accounting and finance professionals. In 2003, he affiliated with K2 Enterprises, and in 2007, he joined the firm as a partner. Over the past thirty-eight years, Tommy has presented over 3,100 educational sessions to over 78,000 participants throughout the United States and Canada.

Tommy maintains professional memberships with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Georgia Society of Certified Public Accountants. Additionally, he is a past member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.

Prepaid Members - Reservations are required for each event! This ensures your meal is ordered for in person attendees and that you receive the Zoom link if joining us online.

This event will be held in-person and via Zoom Webinar. When registering on-line please select the option (In-person or Online), which you will be attending.

Note: Demonstration files and a detailed handout will be available for download before the session. In person attendees do not need to bring their laptops.

CPE Credits are based on a 50-minute hour. State boards of accounting have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Attendees accept responsibility to determine if the course meets acceptable guidelines set forth by their reporting authority. Complaints regarding any CPE presentation should be directed to [email protected].

For CPE Eligibility: Zoom participants must use the Zoom App or Zoom Desktop and answer the polling questions. In person attendees must sign in at the registration table and have a valid email on file to receive your CPE certificate.
