Meeting/Event Information
The Oklahoma City Chapter of the OSCPA provides quality continuing education courses and networking opportunities in a variety of Oklahoma City locations and live streaming online.
We meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month except for June and December.
All meetings are held in person and streamed live online. In-person meetings include lunch and networking before the presentation begins. One hour of CPE credit is presented at each luncheon, partial or nano credits are not offered during one hour luncheons.
All-day seminars are held in September and November. Two hours of Ethics are offered in one of the Fall CPE seminars.
Prepaid Membership includes all meeting fees. Pre-registration is required for each session you choose to attend for CPE credit tracking and so we know whether to expect you in person or online.

Presentation: A Q&A with Stacy Blomstrom, VP of Finance for the OKC Thunder
Presentation Objectives:
As a result of participating in this activity, learners will be able to:
- Understand the unique financial reporting and auditing requirements for an NBA team
- How traditional budgeting, cash management, and analyses functions may differ for an NBA team
- Learn about the Thunder Community Foundation

Speaker Bio: Stacy Blomstrom joined the Thunder in April 2009 and currently leads the organization’s finance department. In this position, she manages the Club's processes for financial reporting, annual budget, cash forecasting, and analysis, which is provided to key stakeholders. She leads various audits, including those for the National Basketball Association, the Club’s financial audits, and tax filings. Stacy is actively involved with the Thunder Community Foundation, serving as board treasurer.
Stacy Blomstrom joined the Thunder after working with the Chickasaw Nation Industries, where she served as Controller, overseeing the financial reporting for five LLCs. Stacy spent 13 years in both profit and non-profit healthcare finance. She served in various positions at Moore Medical Center and Norman Regional Hospital. Before relocating from Colorado, she served as the CFO for Sunrise Community Health Center and as the Director of Finance for the Physicians Health Organization at Banner Health.
She graduated from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. Stacy lives in Moore with her husband, Mike. They have three adult daughters residing in the OKC metro area.

CPE Credits are based on a 50-minute hour. Partial or nano credits are not offered for this course. State boards of accounting have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Attendees accept responsibility to determine if the course meets acceptable guidelines set forth by their reporting authority. Complaints regarding any CPE presentation should be directed to [email protected].
For CPE Eligibility Zoom participants must use the Zoom App or Zoom Desktop and answer the polling questions. In person attendees must sign in at the registration table and have a valid email on file to receive your CPE certificate.
